Born in Charlevoix, Mich., Cheryl Shope was raised in Columbus, Ohio. Cheryl went on to attend The Ohio State University, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and remains a dedicated fan of the Buckeyes.
After graduation Cheryl joined her father's construction company, Allied Riggers, Inc., where she worked her way up the ladder to become President. Interested in branching off, Cheryl started ACS Contractors in May of 1988. In doing so, she became one of the few woman leaders in the industry. ACS Contractors would later expand to include such clients as Honda of America, the Ohio Department of Transportation and the Columbus Airport Authority.
As a successful construction business owner for over 20 years, Cheryl has learned the value of communication, service, and trust.
